im not sure if we threw away the one that we were playing with... it was going in and out of protect. and rumor has it amps explode at more then 18V so we hooked it up to 24v and it did nothing!! just went in and out of protect again. if we still have it around its yours. even for spare parts or something.


what about the guy on CCA with the blown USA amp?

Tony, let me ponder bro... Yuli has a Earthquake D3 for $50 I can play with too. I'd like to get a few moderate sized amps under my belt. Not looking to spend a whole lot on learning this stuff right yet. I know there are MANY blown amps out there that people wouldn't spend the money to get it fixed (probably not worth it) but are still holding on to them and willing to part with them for the sake of my learning to repair them. Those are the amps I'm looking for right now. I'm still down with paying a lil for bigger amps that might be repairable, if someone wants to part with them.

lol, ya.... best is, I even know whats wrong with it... no worries, it'll be fixed in no time. I'm to the point now where if I had an Oscope here, there is no component in an amplifier I don't know how to test.

Finding some of the parts or suitable replacements is a challenge.

try the college mabey they have an old one they can hook you up with. there has accually been a few on kijiji

I'll buy one soon enough, don't really have the extra cash right now.

I think my moms ex has an oscope. Those fuckers are expensive.

lmao... it is gone.... after I got the good news as to how screwed it was, I never bothered to spend the $40 in gas to go get it.....

didnt even ask.... pretty much needed everything but the board aparently. I guess the last retard that looked at it and said they " cant get the parts decided to not put the insulators for the board in, bolted it right to the heat sink and powered it up.... basically shorting out..... everything

well... not everything... but ya... A lot of work just in trouble shooting all the issues (several areas would be affected)... thats a sad thing... I would have loved to get my hands on that amp.... Always good to get a second opinion...
